Where did it all start? 

The Baby Empire was started by the husband and wife team of Rishaan Govender and Safiya Hassen.

With the current covid-19 pandemic that led to a large number of job losses within South Africa, many families had suffered retrenchment, unemployment, loss of income and loss of self-esteem.

We were one of those families.

During the pandemic we have seen a large number of talented designers and dressmakers starting up home businesses due to job losses and we wanted to be a part of it. Our goal is to ensure that people and home based businesses that have been affected by the pandemic have an opportunity to uplift themselves and slowly improve the economy of our country 

We source only the best materials for our products and use local suppliers in order to help rejuvenate the community. Our designers, dressmakers, cobblers and tailors are all Proudly South African home based businesses

With having 2 daughters of our own and always struggling to find the perfect outfit for an occasion, we decided to start The Baby Empire. Our vision behind the company is to provide parents with the highest quality products at the most reasonable prices.

Our designs consider your babies comfort and mood as they tend to become crabby in clothing that is not comfortable and soft. 

Mums get the look they want while their little ones still get to play and move around all day feeling comfortable. We also understand that as a parent you do not have the time to search for the perfect outfit walking from store to store. That's why we offer our custom made service in order to provide you with time saving quality and unique products.

We guarantee our workmanship through our returns policy and will gladly amend any items that do not meet the spec you have requested.
